CBS News and Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) have concluded a multiyear agreement that extends the longstanding newsgathering relationship between the two.
Deal was unveiled Thursday by Armando Nunez, prexy of CBS Paramount Intl. Television and CBS News prexy Andrew Heyward with TBS chairman Yukio Sunahara.
The agreement gives TBS News exclusive access to CBS News programs and news coverage and provides for worldwide cooperation between the two orgs. CBS News also receives access to TBS’ coverage under the extension.
TBS operates 28 TV and 34 radio affiliates and reaches an audience of 45 million households.
