APA adds agents

Simpson, Baron, Scally, Pelmont come aboard

The Agency for the Performing Arts has hired four new agents and promoted three assistants to agent status.

APA tapped Scott Simpson, who spent a decade in ICM’s television department; Dan Baron, who joins after a six-year stint at Metropolitan Talent; Tim Scally, who specializes in booking comedians and hatched his own company after leaving Rick Dorfman’s Relevant Entertainment in 2004; and Michael Pelmont, who has been minted an agent after being hired from ICM, where he recently completed the agent trainee program.

At the same time, the agency has promoted assistants Tyler Grasham and Mike Wilson to agents in its talent division and Lindsay Howard to an agent in its TV lit department.
