XM moves to Jazz complex

Site to be new headquarters for music channels

XM Satellite Radio is setting up shop in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s new Frederick P. Rose Hall complex.

In a multi-year agreement with the jazz org, XM will be able to air live broadcasts from Rose Hall’s studios and its three jazz performance venues, as well as tape shows for future airing.

The complex will be the headquarters for some of XM’s music channels, such as Real Jazz and On Broadway. XM will broadcast some of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s concerts, and the two partners will co-produce new radio shows.

XM will also have office space in the complex and create nonjazz programming there as well.

Located inside the Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle, Rose Hall opened in October.

XM will continue to broadcast talk radio shows from its existing New York studios on West 57th Street.
