HOLLYWOOD — Blurring the line between “One Tree Hill” and reality, a storyline on the WB drama has spawned a real-life concert tour.
The 23-city ” ‘One Tree Hill’ Concert Tour” will feature one of the series’ stars, Bethany Joy Lenz, performing along side the Wreckers, Gavin DeGraw and Tyler Hilton.
On the show, Lenz’s character, Haley, leaves her husband to join Chris Keller (played by Hilton) and the Wreckers on a concert tour.
Besides his recurring role on “One Tree Hill,” Hilton recently released his debut CD on Maverick Records. DeGraw, meanwhile, wrote and sings “One Tree Hill” theme song “I Don’t Want to Be,” while the Wreckers (Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp) contributed a song to the recent “One Tree Hill” soundtrack.
Tour launches Feb. 28 in Vancouver and winds up March 31 in Minneapolis.
“One Tree Hill” comes from Warner Bros. TV and Tollin/Robbins Prods.; Joe Davola, Mark Schwahn, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Mark Perry exec produce.
