Latin Grammy performers slated

Garcia, Longoria, Vergara skedded as presenters

MIAMI — La Ley, Intocable, Bebe and Laura Pausini are the first performers announced for the sixth Latin Grammy Awards.

Bebe has five nominations, including new artist; Intocable is up for two; La Ley is in the running for video and vocalist Beto Cuevas is nommed for rock song; and Pausini is nominated for female pop vocal album.

So far, Andy Garcia, Eva Longoria of “Desperate Housewives,” Sofia Milos of “CSI: Miami,” novela thesp Guy Ecker and Sofia Vergara are confirmed as presenters.

The kudocast makes its Spanish-language debut on Univision on Nov. 3, having aired in English to shrinking auds on CBS.

The Latin Grammys, giving awards in 43 categories, will air live on Univision from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Univision is producing inhouse. The Spanish-language media group received critical kudos — and boffo ratings — in February for updating its long-running “Premio lo nuestro de la musica Latina.”
