Pantle was in charge of marketing at Sundance, SXSW

Hanna Pantle has been upped to executive director of media relations at for BMI. She will direct BMI’s media relations teams in L.A., New York and Nashville, Tenn., and oversee the company’s media strategy.

Most recently senior director of media relations and new-media relations, she was responsible for media campaigns for BMI’s Pop, Latin and Film/TV Awards, BMI’s publicity and marketing at the SXSW music and Sundance film festivals, the company’s Internet licensing communication initiatives, and regional and national campaigns for BMI’s songwriters and composers.

“Hanna takes on these new and expanded responsibilities at a crucial time for both BMI and the music industry as we fully engage the issues and opportunities of the digital transformation of our business,” said Robbin Ahrold, BMI VP of corporate relations. “Hanna’s understanding of the impact and implications of the Internet and the mobile entertainment market will be especially important as we continue to develop that sector.”

Pantle has been at BMI for nine years. She was previously senior director, media relations, EMI Records and Zoo Entertainment.
