AFTRA inks Latin Grammy kudocast

Group blasts Telemundo for rebuffing union efforts

MIAMI — In its latest attempt to organize Spanish-language showbiz, AFTRA announced the Nov. 3 live production of the Latin Grammys in L.A. will be a union show.

“The first-ever Spanish-language production of the Latin Grammy Awards will be produced by FRB Prods. under an industry-standard AFTRA agreement,” AFTRA said of the Shrine Auditorium kudocast, which will air on Univision for the first time.

AFTRA blasted NBC Universal-owned Telemundo for rebuffing union efforts on Thursday’s taping of its award show “El premio de la gente” at the Los Angeles Forum under the auspices of Uno Prods.
