The UJA-Federation will honor Warner Music Group chairman-CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr. with its 2005 Music Visionary Award.
The annual UJA-Federation of New York Entertainment, Media & Communications Division and the Music for Youth Foundation Year awards luncheon, emceed by Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, will be held July 13 at the Pierre Ballroom in Gotham.
“I can think of no person more worthy,” said BMG U.S. prexy and chief operating officer Charles Goldstuck, a former recipient of the laurel. “He has made ‘helping others’ such an integral part of his life.”
Bronfman led the purchase of WMG from Time Warner in 2004.
The Music for Youth Foundation commits funds and resources to promoting music education and provide scholarships for talented youth.
