44 Blue Prods. touts trio of unscripted skeins
Reality outfit 44 Blue Prods. (A&E’s “Caesars 24/7”) is taking out a trio of unscripted series projects, including one from Lance Bass that places an extraordinary teacher in some of the country’s most challenging classrooms.Bass will exec produce “The Substitute” with 44 Blue principals Rasha and Stephanie Drachkovitch. Shingle’s past credits include the Lifetime unscripted skein “What Should You Do?,” “Small Shots” for TNN and A&E’s doc series “Investigative Reports.” Company is also pitching syndie trial show “Judge Bonaventure,” focusing on a Las Vegas-based small-claims court judge, and a series revolving around celebrity drag racing. “The Substitute” will focus on two teachers as they transition into new schools in different towns.Bass, best known as one-fifth of music group ‘N Sync, is exec producing the romantic comedy “Lovewrecked,” starring Amanda Bynes, via his Bacon & Eggs production company. Last year, he teamed with Phil Gurin on a TV project that would chronicle the attempt of an ordinary civilian to go into space.”Bonaventure” will focus on some of the 25,000 cases that no-nonsense Judge Joseph Bonaventure handles per year.”Celebrity Drag Racing” is a weekly show being pitched to both broadcast and cable nets that will pit stars against each other on the speedway. Series will follow the celebs as they train and race, culminating in a final competition that will award the winner a cash prize to donate to a charity of his choice.
