“Access Hollywood” and music network Fuse are teaming up to cover this year’s Grammys.
“Access” and Fuse will co-produce a pair of specials to air on Fuse, with the first slated to bow today.
In addition, Fuse VJ Marianela and “Access” anchor Billy Bush will provide daily updates and news reports in the week leading up to the Feb. 13 Grammy kudocast for air on both “Access” and Fuse’s signature live weekday show “Daily Download.”
NBC U’s syndicated showbiz newsmag previously partnered with Nickelodeon offshoot the N on “Real Access,” a newsmag tailored to the digital cabler’s teen audience.
“This partnership is the perfect marriage of content and brands. It allows Fuse’s incredibly influential young audience of trendsetting music lovers to sample the powerful ‘Access Hollywood’ brand,” Fuse head of entertainment Robert Weiss said.
“The broad exposure we gain through our partnership with ‘Access’ will be very significant in furthering the awareness and impact of Fuse’s strong music credibility among true entertainment lovers.”
First of two half-hour specs, “Access Fuse: Grammy Confessions,” will air today. Hosted by Marianela, program will feature exclusive interviews with Grammy nominees Green Day, Kanye West, Usher, Gwen Stefani and the Killers. Wrap-up spec, “Access Fuse: Crashing the Grammys,” airs Feb. 16.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide Fuse viewers with the same smart, cutting-edge, quality programming that we bring to the table day in and day out at ‘Access Hollywood,’ ” executive producer Rob Silverstein said.
