New ‘Plans’ set for Leeves

In TV pilot news, “Frasier” alumnus Jane Leeves has joined the cast of the WB’s “Best Laid Plans,” while David DeLuise (“Gilmore Girls”) will star in ABC’s “Play Mates.” Leeves will play Amanda, a mother who had a daughter via an anonymous sperm donor. The show revolves around Leeves and her daughter, whose lives change when Leeves finds the donor. Meanwhile, Diedrich Bader (“Miss Congeniality 2”) has joined Fox’s untitled Oakley/Weinstein pilot, while Benjamin King (“Saving Jessica Lynch”) will join the cast of CBS’ “Stroller Wars.” Also on the casting beat Thursday, Mariel Hemingway has been added to the WB’s “The Prince.”
