Fox Intl. has restructured its Asia/Pacific regional operation, shifting its headquarters from Tokyo to Sydney.
Distrib also said the regional office would be downsized and announced that the Japan territory office, managed by Toshiharu Karaki, will report directly to Los Angeles.
Fox said Sunder Kimatrai, currently managing director of Fox Australia, will assume the role of VP Asia/Pacific in Sydney. Kimatrai will oversee Janice Tay as Asia/Pacific marketing director, Brendan Gutsell as Asia/Pacific sales manager and Georgina Bates as Asia/Pacific print services director.
Distrib said the relocation of the regional office to Sydney would be cost-effective and align the operation with other News Corp. companies.
Kimatrai joined Fox in 1993 as home office representative in India and subsequently became managing director in India and Singapore. He’s been managing director of the Australian office since 2001.
