Wolfe back at Public as helmer

LaBute-penned play will run March 8-April 10

George C. Wolfe returns to the Public Theater to direct Neil LaBute’s new play, “This Is How It Goes.” Wolfe’s replacement as artistic director of the Public, Oskar Eustis, was announced in November.

The play, about an interracial romance in a small town, will run March 8-April 10.

Wolfe also will direct a 2005 Central Park staging of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” his first work in the Delacorte Theater since “On the Town” in 1997.
