“Red Light Winter,” written and directed by Adam Rapp (“Stone Cold Dead Serious”), follows its extended engagement at the Steppenwolf in Chicago with an Off Broadway commercial run at the Barrow Street Theater beginning Jan. 20.
Show, which won Rapp a Joseph Jefferson Award for New Work in Chi, follows two college friends whose relationship changes unexpectedly after a night with a prostitute in Amsterdam’s red-light district. Original cast members Christopher Denham, Lisa Joyce and Gary Wilmes reprise their roles.
Scott Rudin, Robyn Goodman and Stuart Thompson produce the Gotham incarnation. “Red Light Winter” opens Feb. 9, just before Rapp’s first feature, “Winter Passing,” is released in New York and L.A. Feb. 17.
