Tuner turns to Off B’way

NY Musical Theater Fest hit get run at Vineyard

The 2004 New York Musical Theater Festival hit “[title of show]” gets an Off Broadway run at the Vineyard in February.

Producer Kevin McCollum holds the commercial rights. McCollum was one of the producers who partnered with the Vineyard in a similar capacity on “Avenue Q,” which started life at the nonprofit before it transferred to Broadway and won three Tonys.

In the meta-tuner, which also had a brief run this summer at Ars Nova, composer-lyricist Jeff Bowen and book writer Hunter Bell play themselves as they struggle to finish a musical in time to enter it into the New York Musical Theater Festival.
