Sondheim talks to PBS

Legendary legit man chats up net

Stephen Sondheim will give a rare television interview on PBS on March 31.

Interview will be broadcast along with a concert performance of Sondheim’s musical “Passion” at Lincoln Center. Broadcast will include interviews with the concert’s stars — Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald and Michael Cerveris — and the tuner’s book writer, James Lapine.

“60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl will conduct the interviews.

Event is part of the ongoing celebration of Sondheim’s 75th birthday, which is today.
