“Six Feet Under” scribe Craig Wright has landed the season opener at the Rattlestick Theater in the West Village.
His play “The Pavilion” is skedded to run Sept. 9-Oct. 9, with the opening set for Sept. 20. Stephen Bogardus, Brian D’Arcy James and Jennifer Mudge headline under the direction of Lucie Tiberghien.
One of Wright’s so-called Pine City plays, “The Pavilion” profiles the reunion of two ex-lovers in a 100-year-old dance hall. Wright’s other Pine City plays include “Orange Flower Water” and “Melissa Arctic.”
The Rattlestick season continues with Michael John Garces’ “Acts of Mercy” in January/February and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s “Dark Matters” in April/May.
