Scribe's work has been produced by Del Rey, Eclectic

Michael Vukadinovich will receive the $50,000 Sidney Sheldon Scholarship Award for Playwriting on Thursday at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

Robert Rosen, dean of the school, will join Sheldon in making the presentation for the play “Betty Ford’s Misconception,” centered on two sisters and their mother and such themes as finding love at a funeral, faking pregnancy and first dates at the Museum of Tolerance.

Plays by Vukadinovich have been produced by the Del Rey Players and the Eclectic Company Theater in Los Angeles.

Sheldon recently established a fund that will alternate each year honoring a screenwriter or playwright at UCLA.
