Harold Wolpert will be the new managing director of the Roundabout Theater Company. He takes over for Ellen Richard, who leaves after two decades with the nonprofit theater.
Wolpert exits the Manhattan Theater Club, where he has been general manager since 2000. He begins his new job on July 5.
In addition to MTC, Wolpert has held positions with Circle Rep and the Alley Theater.
Roundabout operates three Gotham theaters. Its production of “Twelve Angry Men” continues at the American Airlines Theater. Upcoming are “McReele” at the Laura Pels Theater and “A Streetcar Named Desire” at Studio 54.
