Primary Stages offers the New York premieres of plays by Terrence McNally and actor-scribe Charles Grodin as part of its 2005-06 season at the 59E59 Theaters.
McNally’s “Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams” runs July 26-Sept. 18 in a production directed by Michael Morris. Marian Seldes stars in the story of a couple whose love of the theater is tested by the expansion of the upstate New York children’s theater they run.
Grodin’s “The Right Kind of People” is a seriocomedy about the ugly doings of a fashionable Gotham co-op board. Chris Smith, who directed the world preem at San Francisco’s Magic Theater in December, repeats helming duties for the Jan. 24-March 5 run.
A third play to be announced runs March 21-April 30, 2006.
