Margolyes goes to ‘Earnest’

Prod'n starts previews Jan. 17 at Ahmanson Theater

Miriam Margolyes, whose film appearances include “The Age of Innocence,” “Little Dorrit” and “Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo+Juliet,” will play Miss Prism in the national tour of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.” Lynn Redgrave stars as Lady Bracknell.

The production, directed by Peter Hall, starts previews Jan. 17 at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles.

Also cast are Robert Petkoff, James Waterston, Charlotte Parry, Bianca Amato and Terence Rigby.
