Valli tuner preems at Virginia

“Jersey Boys,” the musical that uses the songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to tell the group’s real life story, will have its Broadway premiere this fall at the Virginia Theater.

A rep for the production confirmed the theater but no other information.

Tuner world preemed at the La Jolla Playhouse last fall, helmed by La Jolla artistic director Des McAnuff, who has won Tonys for directing “The Who’s Tommy” and “Big River.”

“Annie Hall” co-scribe Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice wrote the book, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. Dodger Stage Holding is producing.

The musical “Little Women” ended its run at the Virginia on Sunday.
