Vaudeville returns to Great White Way

A little vaudeville is coming back to Broadway with “Jay Johnson: The Two and Only!,” a ventriloquist act that begins an open-ended run March 7 at the Helen Hayes for a March 19 opening.

One-man show was an unlikely hit for the Atlantic Theater Company last year. In it, Johnson, best known as the schizo man-dummy pair on “Soap,” chats with an inanimate monkey and a tennis ball, among others.
