IATSE unites prop shop

Contract will be administered by Local 44

HOLLYWOOD — The Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has organized Lennie Marvin Enterprises, a motion picture prop rental company operating in North Hollywood.

The union said that in a June 10 election conducted by the Natl. Labor Relations Board, the employees voted “overwhelmingly” for IATSE representation. The contract, which covers 15 staffers, will be administered by IATSE Local 44.

Lennie Marvin Enterprises began as a family-operated business when Marvin and his wife turned their collection into a prop rental business. The business moved into Hollywood in 1977 and relocated to the current location in North Hollywood in ’92.
