A fixture in the eastern coastal provinces of Thailand, SF Cinema quickly became the country’s second-largest chain after opening its first Bangkok plex in 1999.
Company toppers — prexy Suwat Thongrompo, 41, and his younger brother, m.d. Suvit Thongrompo, 34 — ramped up dramatically over the past few years, building a 68-screens chain with a 30% market share.
Leaders in innovation in the region, SF’s latest scheme is Print at Home. The service lets moviegoers book seats online and print tickets at home.
“We work professionally, with a blend of the West and the East,” Suwat Thongrompo notes.
