Harris corks LaBute play

Thesp makes Euro stage debut in 'Wrecks'

DUBLIN — Ed Harris will make his European stage debut next month at the Everyman Palace Theater in Ireland’s second city, Cork, in a world-premiere play by Neil LaBute.

Titled “Wrecks,” the play casts Harris as a recent widower with what is described as “a unique love” for his dead wife.

Harris’ last stage appearance was in 1996, in the Broadway premiere of Ronald Harwood’s “Taking Sides.”

“Wrecks” runs Nov. 23-Dec. 3 and is a co-production of the Everyman Palace, the Cork 2005 European City of Culture program and independent producer Kenneth Madden.
