‘Drowsy Chaperone’ sets cast

Tuner is second prod'n of 2005-06 season

The U.S. premiere of “The Drowsy Chaperone,” which opens Nov. 18 at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles, has finalized its cast.

Joining the previously announced Georgia Engel and Sutton Foster are, in alphabetical order, Danny Burstein, Linda Griffin, Edward Hibbert, Troy Britton Johnson, Eddie Korbich, Garth Kravits, Jason Kravits, Beth Leavel, Kecia Lewis-Evans, Bob Martin, Angela Pupello, Jennifer Smith, Joey Sorge, Patrick Wetzel and Lenny Wolpe.

The new musical is the second production of the 2005-06 season at Center Theater Group’s Ahmanson. With music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison and book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, “The Drowsy Chaperone” begins previews Nov. 10, and runs through Dec. 24.

Casey Nicholaw (“Monty Python’s Spamalot”) is the director-choreographer. Also on the creative team: David Gallo (sets), Gregg Barnes (costumes), Ken Billington and Brian Monahan (lighting) and Acme Sound Partners (sound).
