James to star in McDonagh black comedy

Brian d’Arcy James, currently onstage at the Pantages in “White Christmas,” toplines “The Lieutenant of Inishmore,” the latest play to hit Gotham from Martin McDonagh (“The Pillowman”).

The cast of the show, produced by the Atlantic Theater Company, includes Kerry Condon, Domhnall Gleeson and David Wilmot, who all appeared in the play in the U.K.

Black comedy, which opens Feb. 27, centers on the efforts to conceal the accidental death of an Irish terrorist’s beloved cat.
