Brown make ‘Lovely’ debut

Production runs Jan. 12 - Feb. 12 at the Samuel Beckett

HOLLYWOOD — Blair Brown will make her Gotham directing debut with the Play Company’s Off Broadway production of “Lovely Day,” by Leslie Ayvazian.

In “Lovely,” Deirdre O’Connell and David Rasche play a married couple whose anniversary celebration is interrupted when they learn a military recruiter has visited their son’s school. Production runs Jan. 12-Feb. 12 at the Samuel Beckett on Theater Row.

Brown won a Tony for “Copenhagen” in 2000, and Ayvazian, whose plays include “Nine Armenians” and “High Dive,” appears in the Roundabout’s current mounting of “A Naked Girl on the Appian Way.”
