Biz slips; ‘Wicked’ triples

NEW YORK — Road grosses declined 14.02% to $9,733,166 during Week 5 (June 27-July 3) as three shows left the boards. “The Producers” took a week off before its move to Japan. “Riverdance” went on hiatus until the fall. “Peter Pan” did not report figures.

The new open-ended Chicago production of “Wicked” had its first full week. It was the first time “Wicked” had a full week in three cities at once — New York, Los Angeles and Chicago — for a combined gross of $4.2 million.
