Biz slips; ‘Wicked’ $1.7m

Road grosses

NEW YORK — Road grosses declined 7.80% to $9,290,455 during Week 6 (July 4-10), with nine of 12 shows posting decreased grosses.

“The Phantom of the Opera” saw the biggest decline, sliding from $1,187,804 in Tempe, Ariz., to $789,320 in Houston. “Wicked” in Los Angeles bucked the trend, raking in $1,708,141 at the Pantages, up from $1,696,074 last week.
