Turnout tally up 25% from first year

The New York Musical Theater Festival, which wrapped its second annual sesh earlier this month, reported turnout tallied around 26,000, up more than 25% from its inaugural year.

Grosses approached $400,000 with the fest playing to 90% capacity.

The Drama Dept.’s “The Big Time” is among this year’s participants anticipating a commercial berth. Last year’s alumni include “Altar Boyz” and “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” both currently running Off Broadway.
