Jackman back for Tonys

Thesp hosts the awards show third year in a row

Hugh Jackman will return as host of the 2005 Tony Awards.

Stint will mark the third year in a row that Jackman has headlined the kudofest; the CBS telecast airs live on June 5.

The Tony Awards show is exec produced by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment. Kirshner has worked on 12 of the past 13 Tonycasts. It will be Weiss’ fifth year as director of the telecast.

Despite his multiple Tony gigs, Jackman has starred in only one Broadway show, “The Boy From Oz,” for which he won a Tony in 2004.
