Women’s Film Fund doles out grants

The Women’s Film Preservation Fund, part of the New York Women in Film and Television organization, announced that eight pics by female filmmakers will be receiving grants to preserve their work.

This year’s recipients include 1975’s “Coney,” an animated docu short about the amusement park; Faith Hubley’s “Windy Day” and “Behind the Veil,” a 1972 docu about a harem in Dubai.

Fund began in 1995 and has helped restore 70 films, most recently Os-car-winning docu “Harlan County USA.”<
