Touchstone Television has signed “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” scribes Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas to a two-year, seven-figure overall deal.
Under the pact, Butters and Fazekas will develop new series programming for the studio. They’re also expected to be assigned to an existing Touchstone series.
Deal goes into effect in June. Duo, who serve as co-exec producers of “SVU,” will remain on the show this season.
“Michele and Tara have distinguished themselves by working with some of the most talented showrunners in our business and excelling on those series, most notably ‘Law & Order: SVU,’ ” Touchstone exec veepee Julia Franz said.
Butters and Fazekas are now in their fifth season on “SVU.”They had previously been story editors on “Ed” and staff writers on “Get Real.”
