Shingle serves up Wintle's 'Breakfast'
Hart Sharp Entertainment has optioned Edwin John Wintle’s memoir “Breakfast With Tiffany,” which Miramax Books will publish in June.Wintle is best known as a Curtis Brown book agent, but his memoir details a journey from single, middle-aged gay New Yorker to overnight parent as the guardian of his troubled 13-year-old niece, Tiffany. Wintle will serve as executive producer on the film, which will be produced and financed through Hart Sharp and its equity-backed True Film Fund II. Simon & Schuster U.K. will release “Breakfast With Tiffany” as its lead nonfiction title for August. Bertelsmann is publishing in Germany. Hart Sharp Entertainment is in pre-production on “The Night Listener,” an adaptation of Armistead Maupin’s novel to be directed by Patrick Stettner, starring Robin Williams and Toni Collette. Hart Sharp’s next release will be “Proof,” based on David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins.
