A planned spec with top stars working for scale will help the coffers … Although the webs have been reluctant to go for a foreign-accented TV lead, Ricardo Montalban gets word the Madison Ave. attitude is now changing and a series is in the works for the dashing star of many a Metro musical, B’way, the soon-to-be released WB “Cheyenne Autumn,” etc. He might as well be in a series–just wound an “U.N.C.L.E.” last week, is now in a “Burke’s Law.” (Fade out–and fade in 14 years later to the successful “Fantasy Island” from 1978 to 1984).
