Savannah fest to fete Falk

Thesp to receive lifetime achievement award

HOLLYWOOD — The Savannah Film Festival will honor Peter Falk with its lifetime achievement award on Nov. 3.

Falk next stars in Paul Reiser pic “The Thing About My Folks.”

Fest, which runs Oct. 29-Nov. 5, at the Savannah College of Art and Design, is also presenting a lifetime achievement nod to Sidney Lumet and an achievement in cinema prize to Natasha Richardson.

Other attendees are set to include James Franco, who will screen “The Ape,” which he wrote and directed, and “Graduate” screenwriter Buck Henry, who will give a talk about his films.
