‘Rockin” rolls in theaters

Cele concert picked up for pic, TV special

“Rockin’ the Corps,” a celebrity concert for the Marines, will receive a theatrical release and then be made available on pay-per-view platform INHD2.

National CineMedia will screen the concert in more than 100 Regal, UA and Edwards theaters around the country June 27. All proceeds will go to Supportthecorps.org.

After that, the concert will be available in high-def on InDemand holding INHD2 beginning July 4. InDemand also will make the program available for free to all cable subs with systems that carry INHD2 through July.

Hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, concert includes performances by Destiny’s Child, Kiss and Hootie and the Blowfish. It was filmed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego in front of 40,000 Marines.

InDemand is the largest distrib of PPV films and events in the U.S.
