Revolution Studios has purchased “Ex-Factor,” a pitch by Andrea King. Team Todd’s Susanne and Jennifer Todd will produce.
Romantic comedy concerns a divorced newspaper editor who’s horrified to learn that the rival paper in town has hired a new editor who’ll surely step up the competition. He is her ex-husband.
Deal comes as King is close to completing a rewrite of her script “Still Life,” a project now being fashioned as a potential onscreen pairing of Robert Redford and Meryl Streep. Redford’s Wildwood Enterprises is developing it. King is a former journalist.
The Todd sisters are in production on two Revolution films: “Zoom,” a comedy starring Tim Allen and Courteney Cox, and an untitled musical being helmed by Julie Taymor that will feature music from the Beatles. They also produced “Must Love Dogs” and the upcoming “Prime,” which stars Streep and Uma Thurman.
