Alfonso Mardones, former CEO of Spanish-language production shingle Globomedia, has been tapped regional CEO for sister company Promofilm.

Based in Buenos Aires, Mardones will oversee activities in Latin America and the U.S.

He will work with U.S. CEO Daniel Gutman and Argentina’s CEO Carlos Rizzato.

Mardones takes over from Horacio Levin, who will continue as prexy of Arbol Inversiones, parent company of Promofilm and a division of Grupo Arbol.

Arbol was formed in 1995 after the merger between Spain’s fiction TV powerhouse Globomedia and Argentine TV shingle Promofilm.
