Exec named veep int'l sales and marketing
The Toronto-based Peace Arch Entertainment has signed Penny Wolf as exec VP of international sales and marketing.
Wolf was most recently managing director of HBO Films in London, where she supervised international distribution of movies like “Elephant,” “Maria Full of Grace,” “The Life & Death of Peter Sellers” and “Last Days.”
In addition to handling sales and marketing for such Peace Arch product as the Showtime movie “Our Fathers,” nominated for two Emmy awards, and “The Good Shepherd,” with Christian Slater and Molly Parker, Wolf will buy feature films to add to the company’s portfolio.
Wolf’s hiring comes on the heels of the recent appointment of Michael Taylor to the new post of president of Peace Arch TV and the $2 million investment put forward by Jeff Sagansky, a former top executive of Sony Worldwide TV and CBS, and Kerry McCluggage, former TV chief at Paramount and Universal. Peace Arch has a 15-movie co-production deal with Showtime.
Before HBO, Wolf was head of sales at Granada Films and VP of international sales for Capitol Films.
