HOLLYWOOD — Brenda Ciccone has been named VP of publicity for Paramount Home Entertainment.
She comes to Par as the studio is adding about 100 staffers across all domestic and international departments of the homevid unit to handle the enormous increase in the product it distributes from all the Viacom film, broadcast and cable net entities as well as its own acquired properties, according to Par homevid worldwide prexy Tom Lesinski.
Ciccone replaces six-year vet Martin Blythe, who left to start his own company and continues to act as a consultant for Par Home Entertainment.
Ciccone, who oversaw the homevid accounts as VP at Bender/Helper Impact for the past six years, will oversee all publicity and corporate communication for Par Home Entertainment, reporting to Michael Arkin, senior VP of marketing.
At B/HI, Ciccone handled hundreds of homevid campaigns for studios such as Fox and DreamWorks and publicity for the American Film Institute, Yahoo!, Imageworks and FremantleMedia.
