Nordisk taps Houlind for prod’n

Exec has worked in the TV industry since 1998

STOCKHOLM — Scandinavian major Nordisk Film has appointed Jacob Houlind as managing director of its Danish TV production company, Nordisk Film TV Produktion. His responsibilities will include Nordisk’s Finnish TV production company.

Currently administrative director of Swedish Zodiak Television World, 34-year-old Houlind has worked in the TV industry since 1998.

In the international field, he is a member of the orgs behind the Emmy Awards and the National Assn. of Television Program Executives. He’s also a jury member of Montreux’s prestigous award Rose d’Or.

As an exec for Danish Television Intl., he coordinates the export of Danish TV formats.

Ole Larsen, acting chief of Nordisk Film, emphasized Houlind’s great network of contacts in Denmark and abroad and said his appointment will strengthen the company’s Danish TV production as well as the Nordic cooperation between its subsidiaries.

Houlind takes up his new duties no later than Feb. 1.
