MoMa presents Premiere

Short Take

The Museum of Modern Art presents Premiere Brazil!, its third annual exhibition of contemporary Brazilian cinema, July 1-10, in the Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters.

This nine-film exhibition of fiction and nonfiction work from both emerging and established Brazilian directors includes the three principal award winners from the 2004 Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival: Lucia Murat’s powerful debut, “Almost Brothers” (2004); the engaging documentary “Estamira” (2004); and Helena Solberg’s audience-award winner, “Diary of a Provincial Girl” (2004).

The exhibition was organized by Jytte Jensen, a curator at the museum, and Ilda Santiago, director of the Rio festival.
