The American Society of Cinematographers has selected Feb. 26 as the date for its 20th annual awards show at the Century Plaza Hotel.
Nominees for feature films released in 2005 will be announced Jan. 11, TV noms a week later. The TV categories include episode of a series and TV movies/miniseries/pilots that aired on network and pay-per-view/cable channels in 2005.
ASC will also present lifetime and international achievement awards to lensers. Board of Governors and Presidents Awards will be presented to individuals who have made “exceptional contributions to advancing the art of filmmaking,” and a Heritage Award will be bestowed upon a student.
ASC will also host an open house and Internet chat with the honorees and nominees on Feb. 25 at the ASC clubhouse in Hollywood.
