Kinowelt nabs four Epsilon pix

Deal includes 'Tristan & Isolde,' 'Dreamer,' 'Ice Harvest'

BERLIN — Kinowelt has picked up German rights to four pics, including Demi Moore starrer “Half Light” from Craig Rosenberg and Kevin Reynolds’ medieval love story “Tristan & Isolde,” starring James Franco and Sophia Myles.

The producer-distrib acquired the pics from Epsilon, the Swiss-based distribution subsid of insolvent Kirch Media.

Deal, inked in Cannes, also includes Harold Ramis’ “Ice Harvest,” starring John Cusack and Billy Bob Thornton, as well as family drama “Dreamer,” with Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning.

It’s the second multipic deal between Kinowelt and Epsilon this year. In February Kinowelt nabbed rights to “Million Dollar Baby,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and “Guess Who” from Epsilon.
