Love story attracts 1.2 mil in first 20 days

A love triangle about a young woman and two men called “What’s the Meaning of Love?” and shot on location in Los Angeles is Indonesia’s biggest grosser this year, having attracted 1.2 million moviegoers in its first 20 days of nationwide release.

Pic was produced by Intercine Films, which two years ago released “Effeil, I’m in Love,” the biggest hit ever here, with 3 million tickets sold.

Indonesia’s film industry produced 25 pics in 2004, but production is up to 40 titles this year. Industryites are optimistic that total production will continue to climb next year.
