Fox TV taps Leder of the pack

'Arrested' casting director earns veep stripes

“Arrested Development” casting director Geraldine Leder has been named 20th Century Fox Television’s VP of comedy casting.

Based in Los Angeles, she will begin reporting immediately to senior VP of casting Sharon Klein.

Leder, who won an Emmy and a Casting Society Artios Award for her work on “Arrested,” also recently cast Fox laffer “Stacked” and 20th pilots “Dante” for NBC and “Susie Essman” for CBS. Her other credits include “Oliver Beene,” “Cracking Up” and “Lois and Clark.”

Leder kicked off her career as a casting assistant on “Cheers,” followed by a stint on “L.A. Law.” She spent 11 years at Lorimar Television/Warner Bros. Television and also served as casting director on “Pay It Forward.”
