Film board taps Perry to be CEO

World Brief

Simon Perry, the former chief executive of British Screen Finance, will become the new CEO of the Irish Film Board in January. Post has been vacant since Mark Woods left in June.

“Simon Perry brings a depth of knowledge and achievement in international film production that few can equal,” IFB chairman James Morris said. “As head of British Screen from 1991 to 2000, he helped numerous high-profile European films make it to the screen.”

Perry will be based at the IFB’s head office in Galway.
